Founded on Ganesh Chaturthi, 17th September 1939, with the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Balak Vrinda Education Society (BVES) started as a humble Balwadi initiated by Mrs. Kamlabai Dongerkery and other dedicated ladies of the Saraswat Mahila Samaj, Gamdevi. Beginning with only 12 children, the institution has grown significantly over the decades, transitioning through various phases and locations. From its early days in the Anandashram Hall of the Kanara Saraswat Association, Talmakiwadi, BVES established its own building in 1969, where it continues to thrive.
Key milestones in our journey include the launch of the Marathi medium primary and secondary sections in 1944 and 1958 respectively, and the English medium primary and secondary sections in 1970 and 1985. Each phase of our development has been marked by a commitment to quality education and community service, driven by the vision of our founders and the collective effort of our dedicated members.
In 2016, we started the junior college with the commerce stream taking out educational journey to the next level
